She had always been drawn to the night, to the mysteries and wonders that lurked in the shadows. She had always felt a connection to the moon, to its silver light that bathed her in a gentle glow. She had always loved her hair, to its purple hue that set her apart from the others.

But tonight, she wished she had never left her home. Tonight, she wished she had never followed the strange sound that echoed through the streets. Tonight, she wished she had never seen the portal that ripped open the fabric of reality.

For from that portal, a nightmare creature emerged, a beast of darkness and horror. It had eyes that glowed with malice, teeth that dripped with blood, and tentacles that writhed with hunger. It fixed its gaze on her, and she felt a cold dread fill her heart.

She tried to run, but it was too late. It reached out with its slimy appendages, and grabbed her by the waist. It pulled her closer, and she screamed in terror. It opened its mouth, and she saw the abyss.

She closed her eyes, and prayed for the end.
